Building brands that mean business.

From positioning and creative direction to integrated campaigns and community, I partner with founders and executive teams to make brand the engine of growth, not just the face of it. With 20+ years across global media, financial services and consumer companies, and experience spanning the full spectrum of marketing, I bring both the strategic altitude to see the whole picture and the executional depth to build what actually works.

Ways we can work together.

A woman with brown hair working on a laptop at a wooden table, with a gray backpack and a white lace cloth on the table, and a window in the background.

Every engagement starts with understanding your business and what's actually standing between where you are and where you want to be, not a predetermined package. The four areas below represent the most common ways I work with clients, but they're a starting point, not a limit.

  • Whether you're starting from scratch or realizing your current positioning has outgrown where you are, this is the work that everything else stands on. Together we define who you are, what you stand for, how you sound and how you show up, creating the strategic and creative foundation that makes every other marketing investment work harder.

  • Great brand strategy only matters if it comes to life in the world. I lead integrated campaign development from brief through execution, working across paid, owned, earned and social channels to build creative programs that connect emotionally, communicate clearly and drive measurable results.

  • For companies that need senior marketing leadership without a full-time hire, I embed directly with your team, setting strategy, building operating rhythms, managing agencies and ensuring marketing is connected to your commercial goals. On your timeline, at your scale, with real accountability.

  • For brands that need more than a single senior leader, I work with a trusted and talented collective of strategists, creative directors, copywriters, designers and producers to deliver integrated brand and marketing work at agency quality. If you're interested in exploring a fuller engagement, tell me more in the form below.

I work with companies of all kinds, at every stage.

    You're building from scratch.

You have a product, a vision and a founding story. What you don't have yet is a brand — the positioning, the voice, the identity, the narrative that makes people get it immediately. Whether you're a first-time founder or an established company entering a new category, this is where we start.

  • Silhouette of a signpost with multiple directional signs against a colorful sunset sky.

    You're at an inflection point.

Something has shifted — a new market, a new audience, a rebrand, a major launch or simply the realization that the story you've been telling isn't landing the way it should. Whether you're a growth-stage startup or a global organization navigating change, this is the moment to get the brand right.

  • Two women sitting at a table looking at a laptop screen displaying items on a website.

    You need a senior partner.

Your team is doing the work but missing strategic leadership — someone who has operated at scale, across industries and categories, and can help you move faster and smarter. Whether it’s as an embedded fractional CMO, a strategic advisor or a creative director on a specific initiative, I can flex to fit your need.

A few highlights.

"Michelle led a full brand relaunch grounded in real audience insight. And she didn't just come in with a point of view. She did the work to understand what the market actually wanted and built the strategy around that. The result was a brand that finally felt modern and credible again."

"Michelle brought real organizational discipline to a program that had a lot of moving parts across platforms, partners and markets. She kept everything cohesive and on-brand without losing any of the creative ambition. That's genuinely a rare combination."

"Michelle pushes creative in the direction that best serves the goals while simultaneously creating space for the team to do their strongest, most ambitious work. That balance is incredibly hard to strike. She does it better than anyone I've worked with."

"Michelle built something from nothing and now the community has become one of our most valuable brand assets."

"Michelle doesn't just set the strategy and hand it off. She gets into the work. She wrote copy, shaped the creative, gave direction on every detail and never made you feel like anything was beneath her. That combination of big picture thinking and genuine hands-on contribution is something you almost never find at her level."

"Most senior marketing leaders can tell you what they want. Michelle can show you. She brought real creative instincts to the table, got involved in the actual work and elevated everything she touched, from the strategy all the way down to the execution."

ABOUT

A professional photography studio setup with lights, monitors, and a backdrop, capturing a model in front of a white seamless background.

Some people think big picture. Some people do the work. I've spent my career refusing to choose.

For more than two decades, my career has lived at the intersection of strategy and creativity, across global media, financial services, agencies and early-stage ventures. The through line across all of it is a belief that the best brand work is never just smart. It's human.

I've built from scratch and repositioned what exists. I've partnered with Fortune 100 marketing teams and sat across the table from founders figuring out their first brand strategy. I've written the copy, designed the ads, led the shoot and built the team. At every level and in every context, the approach has been the same: Understand the real problem, build the right brand strategy and create the engine to execute it at scale.

Outside of work, I'm a mom to two boys who keep me on the sidelines of soccer fields, baseball diamonds and basketball courts. I share my home on Long Island with my husband, boys and two rescue dogs. Animal rescue is something I care about deeply and support actively. I work remotely with clients across the country and I’m always happy to connect.

Let’s talk.
